As an advertising student at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, I entertained visions of someday becoming a great copywriter. Surprisingly, I found myself far more interested in the design end of things. After a few years working in print and publication design, I decided that I was going to design websites for a living.
I started as a freelancer with a day job, and it wasn't long before I was hired as full-time user interface designer working on custom-built web-based applications. After seven great years as a full-time interface designer, I moved across the country to sunny California and embraced the freelance lifestyle.
I am a Certified Usability Analyst through Human Factors International, and my obsession is creating enjoyable and efficient interactive experiences for real people.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, I believe that beer and cheese are significantly important food groups. After spending the past couple years in southern California, the only surfing I ever embraced was the kind you do on the web.
When not in front of a computer, I can be found listening to music, taking pictures of interesting things, or riding my bike really long distances.
